Description

An Alberta Clipper has moved across Lake Erie and left Cleveland in a snowy haze. Riley Kemp, an out-of-work car salesman and a man in crises, blows a job interview and ends his destructive relationship with his girlfriend. Now almost fifty, his world is upside down and he can't figure out how to put it upright again. His best friend, West Cannon, notices that Riley is trying to soothe his inner demons with way too much alcohol and suggests he needs to find love, the kind he had with his high school sweetheart. Lynne Alexander, after a thirty-year absence, returns to Cleveland to see her ailing mother. Her sister, Maya, picks her up from the airport and one of her first questions is if Lynne plans to get in touch with Riley while she's home. Lynne's angry response indicates there's been a painful history between the two. Enter fate. karma and serendipity who all plot to cause Riley and Lynne to run into each other at a Cavalier's game at The Q Arena. When Riley sees Lynne, it's like a dream come true. When she sees him, however, it's her worst nightmare come to life. Eventually she agrees to see him again and Riley can tell that something is troubling her but she won't tell him what it is. It doesn't seem like it's meant for Riley and Lynne to have a second chance at love but maybe fate has more in store for them than reality seems to offer.
